Acas has up to date, relevant services to provide support around coronavirus and the measures we are taking to address the challenge, for employers and employees. I would be very grateful if you could share the below with constituents and local employers so that they have the latest, most accurate messages and information.
Acas are the workplace experts, funded by BEIS. We provide free and impartial information, advice and support on all aspects of good workplace relations and employment law, which underpins business success. And when things go wrong, we help by helping to resolve workplace disputes and reduce conflict.
Acas practical information on coronavirus is reviewed daily to give you access to the most recent updates on employment law. It provides common-sense advice on the workplace, including self-isolating, pay, financial support for businesses, time off and remote working.
They are advising employers and their workers through the Acas Helpline (0330 123 1100), which is receiving very high volumes of calls on CV-19 and are developing more in-depth phone-based support for businesses.
ACAS are running weekly live Twitter Q&A sessions with Acas experts (every Friday at 10:30). You can see last week’s session here.
If you have questions or concerns about time off work, pay, remote working and what steps you can take to reduce the spread of the virus, join Acas experts this Friday to chat live on Twitter. Send your questions in advance to @acasorguk #AskAcas.
