As non-essential retail begins to open across Cardiff Central today, the first phase of a plan to keep visitors safe in the City Centre is entering into force. This includes staffed welcome points, a one way system and some road closures in the centre.

Phase 1: (from today):

Welcome points & 1 way system;

Establishing queuing areas outside shops;

Leaving available bench spaces where people can rest;

Closing Castle St and Mill Ln to traffic;

Help and advice for people with disabilities including a motorised, buggy, pick-up service.

Phase 2:

Will involve ‘spill-out spaces’ where there can be more managed social activity and safe events for cafes, restaurants & bars, including grounds inside & around the main walls of Cardiff Castle and Castle Street, the northern end of Churchill Way, the Hayes and Mill Lane.Maps and more info are below.
