If you’re currently abroad and you have no other options to pay for your return travel, you may be eligible to apply for an emergency loan from the UK Government.
If you cannot afford travel costs and have exhausted all other options for getting funds, you may be eligible to apply for an emergency loan from the UK Government.
This loan would enable you to get a commercial flight back to the UK, where flights are still operating. There are separate arrangements if you are in a country where the government is supporting special charter flights, see the travel advice page for the country you are in.
The loan is a ‘last resort’ option, and you would need to repay the loan when you are back in the UK. For more information about emergency loans, see our guidance on financial assistance abroad.
The Government have authorised the Corporate Travel Management (CTM) to administer these loans on behalf of the government. If a local number for your region is not listed below, you can email CTM to request a call back.
