The Welsh Government has a really helpful Q&A section for queries about higher education in Wales, Student Finance Wales and Coronavirus. You can access that by clicking here.


Cardiff University, Cardif Metropolitan University Students, as well as tenants of Liberty Living and Unite Students properties will be able to end their tenancy early without payment of fees if they choose not to return after the Easter Break.

These providers now also have plans in place if you are still living there and you, or one of your flatmates is self-isolating due to Coronavirus.

Welsh Water

If students have left their student accommodation, then Welsh Water won’t charge, regardless of whether there is a meter or not. This isn’t something new they’ve introduced as a result of the outbreak.
