Cardiff is set to get a new state-of-the-art transport interchange. World-renowned architects Foster + Partners have been recommended to the City of Cardiff Council’s Cabinet as the preferred firm to design the scheme.

Central Square

The Central Square area is primed for regeneration and the proposed design will form an integral part of the masterplan for a spectacular new gateway to Cardiff. The interchange will link travellers to bus, train, bicycle and taxi networks.

The information has been released by Cardiff Council this week. The council have also posted ‘15 things you need to know about Cardiff’s new bus interchange‘, a blog post with information about some of the changes.
