I was deeply disappointed to hear that Gwdihw has been unable to renew their lease with their landlord and is currently expected to close in January.

Gwdihw has cemented itself as a key part of Cardiff’s diverse live music scene – proving to be a platform for up and coming artists and a space for a unique and diverse range of music.

A petition has been launched by supporters to save the venue and surrounding businesses. Up to 70 jobs are currently at risk, not only at Gwdihw but at two popular and long running restaurants; Thai House and the Madeira – I would urge as many people as possible to sign the petition.

The petition can be accessed by clicking here.

A Facebook campaign page has also been set up, which can be accessed by clicking here.
