Great Western Railway have provided me with an updated on their electrification work on the mainline between Cardiff Central and London. Timetable Changes Due to Work on the Great Western Network

The Severn Tunnel will be closed between Saturday 16 June and Friday 6 July, impacting services between Bristol Parkway and Severn Tunnel Junction and between Filton Abbey Wood and Patchway. Beresford Road Bridge to Re-Open

Windsor Road Bridge Reopened

On Saturday 2nd July, Windsor Road Bridge, connecting Adamsdown with Splott, reopened. The bridge had been demolished by Network Rail and has now been replaced with a new one to cope with electrification of the mainline between London and Swansea.
