It was a pleasure this morning to welcome photojournalism and media students from the University of South Wales in Cardiff Central to Parliament.
The University of South Wales is one of three fantastic universities based in Cardiff Central, also with campuses elsewhere around South Wales.
After the students enjoyed a tour of Parliament, we had a really interesting and wide ranging discussion. We discussed my work on the DCMS Select Committee and wider media issues.
We also discussed live music venues and the campaigns to save Womanby St, Gwdihw and 10 Feet Tall, local news, social media and fake news.
It was really good to welcome such an enthused and engaged group of students to Parliament, and best of luck for the rest of your studies.
