The Vulcan Hotel is a cornerstone of Cardiff Central’s history, serving the residents of Adamsdown for more than 150 years until its closure in 2012.
Local residents were devastated by its proposed demolition and fought a tireless campaign for its preservation. This paid off when Brains Brewery decided to gift the property to the National History Museum in St Fagans.
After years of painstaking work to reassemble the building, brick by brick, a date has been announced for its grand opening.
Members of the public are invited to come along on Saturday 11th May 2024 and enjoy one of Glamorgan Brewing Company’s specially brewed ‘Vulcan Ale’.
