The Welsh Labour Government have today announced that they are rolling out their Childcare Offer to more areas of Wales, including Cardiff.
The offer means that working parents will receive 30 hours of Welsh Government-funded early education and childcare for children aged 3-4 for 48 weeks of the year, including term time and school holidays.
Cardiff Council have prioritised areas with the highest percentage of eligible families on lower incomes. This means that to start with, the offer will only be available to families in Adamsdown, Cathays and Roath in Cardiff Central, but it will be expanded to the rest of the constituency.
Cardiff Council will be ready to accept applications soon to allow parents to apply and secure funding ahead of children taking up childcare under the offer from September.
