Home Office Minister Can’t Explain how EU Nationals Prove their Settled Status Once Approved

Earlier today I asked Minister of State at the Home Office Kit Malthouse exactly how EU Nationals in the UK are able to prove their settled status once they’re had their applications approved – only for him to be unable to answer.

This follows representations i’ve received from constituents who’ve recently had their settled status applications approved. Once approved, they’ve received letters from the Home Office approving their status, but ith disclaimers to add that those letters themselves are ‘not proof of settled status’.
