PopUp Business School is a project which aims to give people the skills and support to start a business from the ground up, in just two weeks.
A pop up business school ran in the city centre for two weeks and I went to visit on the final day to meet some of the participants and find out about their business ideas.
I spoke briefly about my experience running a business before I was elected to be your MP, and about the value of small businesses to our community here in Cardiff Central.
Some of the participants had created business selling second hand products, and there was a photography business, a travel company and a manufacturer of candles among other ideas.
It was really encouraging to see so many people wanting to create new businesses and taking the opportunity to learn skills and get advice on how to go about it.
