This week marks National Volunteers’ Week, an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK.

During the week, Wales Council for Voluntary Action is showcasing the different volunteering roles on offer with taster sessions and team challenges with new partners, volunteer recruitment events, awards ceremonies and launching new volunteering campaigns. There are events taking place throughout Wales.

In Cardiff, VCS Cardiff celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and goes from strength to strength.

The Cardiff Story Museum in the heart of Cardiff, is hosting an exhibition this week, marking a decade each day of VCS Cardiff.

Volunteers are often the glue that holds our communities together and this week is a great opportunity to learn about volunteering and get involved. As the famous saying goes; volunteers are unpaid not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.
